Inservice sessions are scheduled at a variety of locations around the district.
Inservice sessions begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. and will end at 3:30 p.m. There will be a break for lunch on your own.
Please arrive by 7:45 a.m. at your designated location. Upon arrival you will receive additional information about your day.
Periodically check SCHED for updates, cancellations, room number confirmations, and session details.
Students often struggle with learning the skills identified in the standard because they have low reading comprehension skills. They are disinterested in the text because it's not their preference. Engage students by using texts in which they are familiar. This session will focus on how to use picture books, childhood stories, childhood movies, and songs to teach students how to analyze text.
